Kyle Nilges
Cinematographer, Filmmaker, Storyteller
Based out of Los Angeles, Kyle has been working as a Cinematographer since 2013. Getting his start in Chicago Illinois, Kyle worked closely with Writers and Directors from Second City, I.O. Theater and The Onion, honing his skills and developing a unique style that blends technical proficiency with a keen eye for comedic timing. In addition to his work in comedy, Kyle has worked on a range of other projects, including narrative, branded content, and documentary.

Kyle is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow and improve as a Cinematographer. In 2020 Kyle moved from Chicago to Riverside California to form No DNB Productions with former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey and Husband Travis Browne. While working with No DNB, Kyle created the visual look and feel of the hit viral trailer “Tables” for Ronda’s Youtube channel. Kyle spent the next 3 years getting the opportunity to work with celebrities like Gordon Ramsey, Rob McElhenney, and Jack Ass’s Steve-O. Alongside this content Kyle helped to develop web based series such as the cooking show Ronda’s Kitchen and a traveling documentary, Ronda on the Road, following Ronda during her time in the WWE.
Kyle’s keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the technical aspects of cinematography, which has enabled him to create stunning and captivating images that resonate with viewers. No matter what the project Kyle's skills and expertise have been essential to the success of each job he has been a part of.
NARRATIVE
Kyle’s narrative works includes a multiple award winning comedy short, “Dinner in Hyde Park”, several sketch comedy shorts for XVP Comedy, and the Showpup feature film “Civil Hoax” which can be found on Amazon and streaming on Tubi TV.
BRANDED & CORPORATE
Kyle’s work consists of videos for clients across a range of industries, most notably United Airlines, Medline Industries, and Outlier online education. Kyle has also worked on social videos for Old Spice, Corona Beer, Armor All, WWE, Blizzard Entertainment, Mizuno Athletic Equipment, iBuyPower Computers, and Four Seasons Hotels.
Documentary
& Reality
Kyle’s documentary and reality works include the ESPN+ show Rowdy's Places, First We Feast’s Hot Ones, and a three year span of videos for Ronda Rousey’s production company featuring the talents of Steve-O, Rob McElhenney, Gordon Ramsey, and WWE’s Paige, Corey Graves, and Devon Dudley.

Kyle’s live and music video work consists of live events for Ludacris, Snoop Dog, the Zac Brown Band and music videos for the live band Rendezvous and the band Empty Matches.
